In Frog Creek, Pennsylvania, eight-year-old Jack and his seven-year-old sister, Annie, happened to find a magic tree house filled with books. By pointing to a picture which showed a place they would like to visit, they could be taken to the place instantly by the tree house. They also discovered that the tree house belonged to Morgan le Fay, a magical librarian from the time of King Arthur.
\nAfter several trips with the tree house, however, Jack and Annie couldn’t find the tree house or Morgan for weeks. Later, when the tree house appeared again, inside it did they find only a mouse and a note, but not Morgan. The note was from Morgan and said she was under a spell and needed help. In order to help Morgan, they started a whole new adventure with the mouse. The tree house took them to old Japan where ninjas lived to find out the four things Morgan had mentioned on the note. After they got there, two ninjas took them to meet the ninja master, who said he could help them only if they could prove themselves worthy of his help. The ninja master told them to practice the way of the ninja by remembering three things and then made them find the way back to the tree house on their own. On the way, they encountered great difficulties, but by putting the three things into practice and with the mouse’s help, they finally got back to the tree house safely. The ninja master, who had already been waiting for them there, gave them one of the four things, which would help them find Morgan, and told them to go home. Jack and Annie went home, preparing for the following adventures related to saving Morgan le Fay.
