簡介:
The author, Kashmira, grew up in India and later studied in college in the US. After finishing studies, she settled down there. Kashmira wanted to be a writer because of her uncle's letter, which made her realize the power and the importance of words. Through the brushstroke of watercolor painting, the book illustrates the interaction among the author's mother and granddaughters as well as the texture and the colors of Sari, the Indian traditional clothing. The book is different from those in the past; it talks about the culture and tradition of India through the characters' dialogue and interaction. Several Indian words to express the culture of India are also shown in the book to make the story authentic.
